Uplift and Empower Scholarship | 2023 Winners

After reading application materials from high school seniors county-wide, the Uplift and Empower scholarship selection committee chose four winners for the 2022 - 2023 Academic Year! Congratulations to Trinity Goodson, Chelsea James, Imani Linzy, and Myaonna Williams!



Trinity Goodson (West Port High School) plans to major in Biology to pursue a career as an orthodontist. 

Chelsea James (Vanguard High School) plans to major in Social Sciences Education to pursue a career as a school administrator.

Imani Linzy (Lake Weir High School) plans to major in Political Science to pursue a career in government as a Senator or Governor. 

Myaonna Williams (Vanguard High School) plans to major in International Affairs to pursue a career as a foreign service officer.

Each winner will receive a $500 scholarship and mentorship support during their first year of college. These students truly embody the values of Uplift and Empower as they positively contribute to their communities while balancing school, work, and extracurricular activities.
