Uplift and Empower Scholarship | 2022 Winners

After receiving applications from students attending Vanguard, Forest, North Marion, West Port, Belleview, and Florida Virtual School, the Uplift and Empower scholarship selection committee chose four winners for the 2021 - 2022 Academic Year!

Congratulations to Ty'Asia Boone (Vanguard High School), Emma Bowman (Forest High School), Leana Perez (Belleview High School), and Le'onshaye White (Vanguard High School)!

Ty'Asia Boone plans to attend the College of Central Florida and become a veterinarian after obtaining her degree.

Emma Bowman plans to attend Florida Atlantic University to study Multimedia Communications with a specialization in Broadcast Journalism.

Leana Perez plans to attend the College of Central Florida to study Creative Writing and Digital Media.

Le'onshaye White plans to attend the College of Central Florida to study Nursing.

This year, the Ocala Evening of Excellence will take place in person on May 17th. All the winners will be honored at the event!

These students truly embody the values of Uplift and Empower as they positively contribute to their communities while balancing school, work, and extracurricular activities. Again, congratulations!
