#DoingTheWork Video Interview Series

Every year hundreds of thousands of people around the globe take action to eradicate extreme poverty and make an impact in their communities.

Whether they lead nonprofits or volunteer at community organizations, every action is a step in the right direction toward getting the number of people living in extreme poverty down to zero.

These efforts aren't all huge, global campaigns raising millions of dollars and scoring celebrity endorsements. Much of the work done on the ground to alleviate poverty is small in scale but large in impact.

To show what effective community engagement looks like in practice, I'll be featuring leaders in the non-profit space working to alleviate poverty in their communities and beyond through a new video interview series called: #DoingTheWork.

With each interview, you'll learn more about what it's like to be a non-profit founder in different parts of the world, what challenges people face while implementing their vision, and what the future of their work is going to look like.

One of the main takeaways I hope people glean when reading Uplift and Empower is the impact that community engagement can have on people's lives. Through #DoingTheWork, you'll be able to shift from not only reading about positive social change but seeing it through these discussions.

The first interview is going to be posted this week. I can't wait for you to see how people are #doingthework to eradicate poverty!
