“If we want to develop our communities and empower our country, we need to empower young people because they are the future generation of our country. They are the light. They are the strength of our communities.”
- Norman Mugisha, Founder and CEO of the Young African Business Booster
In the first portion of our discussion, Norman talks about how YABB works — what their programs look like, what challenges they face, and why their capacity-building efforts are so critical for the future of Rwanda’s young people.
Following his explanation, we discuss some of the core elements of YABB’s programming. Norman even shares a live example of how YABB’s digital farmers’ market enables people to buy fruit and vegetables from local farmers from their cellphones!
P.S. There were a few network connectivity problems during the video so I edited out all of the “can you hear me?”, “my computer froze”, etc. parts of the video to avoid interrupting the flow of Norman’s responses.
