📚 This year, the Uplift and Empower Scholarship Fund is taking a step back from awarding scholarships to focus on building sustainable partnerships with local businesses and supporting more students in the future.

📚 Over the past five years, the fund has supported 22 Ocala public high school seniors with $11,000 in scholarship funds and career-specific mentorship support. This pause is a helpful opportunity to ensure the fund can continue to grow and thrive in the years ahead.

📚 During this break, I’ll be focusing on:

• Finding more business sponsors to support students

• Searching for new administrative support to help us grow

• Updating the scholarship application process to navigate a world with (potentially) AI-assisted applications

📚 Even during this crucial time, the fund remains committed to helping Ocala high school seniors reach their full potential. I am excited for the fund to support more students in the 2026-2027 academic year and beyond.
