#DoingTheWork Interview Series | Vasikana Vedu

The second interview in the #DoingTheWork series is now live!

In this conversation, I had a virtual chat with Marie-Simone, founder and CEO of Vasikana Vedu.

In the first portion of our discussion, we talked about how Vasikana Vedu’s work on alleviating period poverty intersects with climate justice, education, and women’s rights.

By the end of the conversation, we also talked about Marie-Simone’s experience leading research efforts for Vasikana Vedu, addressing the stigma surrounding period products, and the efforts that Vasikana Vedu is making to change the narrative around menstruation in Zimbabwe and, eventually, throughout sub-Saharan Africa!
